I list some required fields for conference papers and how to specify the fields correctly

InProceedings

• booktitle: should contain the phrase "Proceedings of" (e.g. "Proceedings of IEEE International Conference ...")
• publisher: the publisher of the confernce proceedings (e.g. "Optical Society of America")
• year
• note 1: the parenthesis in the example is from (publisher, year)
• note 2: for SPIE proceedings, use Article with journal specified as "Proc. SPIE" and a blank booktitle
