  • Chosen are now re-rolled on assault missions after completing another mission
  • Base Chosen spawn chance has been rebalanced from 40%/67%/80%/100% to 25%/40%/67%/80%/100% (mission count since last encountering that specific chosen)
  • Infiltrating SPARKs no longer cause "idle soldier in engineering" reminder
  • Infiltrating SPARKs are now properly removed from the list of candidates for the repair slot (also fixes the confusing error popup which happened if you attempted to actually staff an infiltrating SPARK into the repair slot)
  • In-mission tutorial regarding the DVIP capture requirement for facility lead is now always shown (irrespective of the tutorial option in MCM and whether you have seen it before or not)
  • In-mission tutorial about the Supply Extraction changes is now controlled by a dedicated MCM option
  • Internal code improvements for mod authors that build against CI

  • Fixed the logic that governs random Chosen spawns on assault missions (before it behaved unpredictably)
  • Reduced the number of assault missions (since the last Chosen encounter) on which Chosen cannot appear randomly from 3 missions to 1
  • Reduced the base chance for a Chosen to spawn on 2nd mission since the last encounter from 80% to 67%
  • Optimized mod assets, including bringing the mod size down to 34 MB

Balance Changes

  • Reduced spawn chance of the Gather Survivors, Recover Expedition, and Extract Operative missions, which will result in more Hack Workstation, Recover Item, and Sabotage Monument missions

Configuration

  • Added a new Second Wave Option that allows UFO activity chains to spawn before the player encounters an actual hunter UFO flying around the map in the mid to late game

User Interface

  • Locked the second Infil Size upgrade in the GTS behind the first upgrade, which makes more sense than the two being independent
  • Changed the banner title on infiltration missions' extra slots from "Optional" to "Optional Slot" to avoid confusion with other banners

Bugfixes

  • Fixed an issue where allocating resources to a covert action cost slot then spending those resources would result in the covert action becoming unlaunchable (NOTE: until Robojumper's Squad Select is updated, you may need to back out and re-enter squad select if the button is still disabled)

Bugfixes

  • Expected enemies no longer change whenever a mission with an Alien Ruler is selected multiple times on the Geoscape (observable only with the Shadow Chamber built)
  • Fixed a case when some milestone progress bars on the infiltration details screen would flip downwards and overlap other UI

Covert Ops Screen

  • Long risk descriptions will now wrap instead of horizontally scrolling

Squad Select Screen

  • Long risk descriptions will now wrap instead of going off-screen

Infiltration Details Screen

  • Added a readout of how much time is left until a specific bonus is gained
  • Risk Negation bonus now always shows which exact negative SitRep is going to be removed
  • Opportune Moment bonuses that haven’t been reached yet are no longer hidden (they are always the same anyway)

Balance Changes

  • Timed loot was reduced from 3 to 2 drops per mission
  • Each crate's contents in the supply extraction mission were increased by 20%
  • Crates containing one timed loot item without any resources will no longer appear

Bugfixes

  • "Idle Stuff in Resistance Ring" indicator now works correctly
  • Facility lead chain can no longer have reward interception complication
  • Fixed Bradford's voice lines when planting the X4 on sabotage monument mission
  • Unattainable infiltration bonuses are no longer shown on the mission blades
  • Fixed infiltration percentage sometimes rising above max allowed
  • Tutorial and L&A can no longer be enabled with new/empty profile
  • Negative SitReps on assault missions now properly get marked as used, preventing repeated selection

Mod Interoperability Improvements

  • InfiltrationModifier struct DLC element now also supports mods (before only official DLCs were supported)
  • Added an easy way for mods to override infil modifiers from CI (or other mods), removing the need for mods to compile against CI
