UAV-based Visual Remote Sensing for Automated Building Inspection

Project: "Drone-based Infrastructure Assessment"

This project aims at accurately detecting and estimating various parameters of a building by deploying an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) based remote sensing system. It is a part of IHub - Mobility Research at IIIT, Hyderabad.

Objectives:

Through this project, we introduce the following parameters:

  1. Building Plan-shape Estimation
  2. Roof Area Calculation
  3. Distance Between Adjacent Buildings
  4. Roof Layout Estimation
