Troubleshooting
This page contains common problems and their solutions.
The field access point might not have successfully been configured by Cheesy Arena (it is prone to crashing or sometimes reverting to older configurations). Verify that this is the case using the AP's wireless status page at http://10.0.100.3/cgi-bin/luci/admin/network/wireless. If the SSIDs there don't match the teams on the field, in order of Red 1-3 then Blue 1-3, then the configuration is not correct.
If experiencing this issue for a scheduled practice/qualification/playoff match, resolve this issue by loading the test match, then reloading the scheduled match. If experiencing this issue for a test match, change one of the team numbers, de-focus the field, then change it back. Use the AP web interface to verify that the configuration is now correct.
Cheesy Arena crashes with a long error message that includes one or more stack traces (i.e. a Golang panic)
This may be due to a bug or a race condition. Resolve this issue by restarting Cheesy Arena. After it restarts, you may need to:
- Refresh the Match Play screen to sync with the server, and reload whatever match was loaded previously.
- Re-enter the "admin" and "reader" passwords (if configured) on any panels or displays, on the same computer or on a remote device, before they will work again. Note to do this before starting the match, especially on the referee and realtime scoring computers.
