Outline

This is the third of three sessions on 3D technologies for cultural heritage, and focuses on the publication, dissemination and embodiment of 3D models. We discuss the web distribution of 3D models of cultural heritage via sites such as Sketchfab, which allow both download of models for research or printing, and online display of 3D images as Web, VR or AR environments. A demonstration of 3D printing, including the preparation of digital files using printer software, is also included, with the opportunity to print objects that have been imaged or modelled in previous sessions.
