This re-instantiates the checkout into `packages` as I couldn't find an obvious way to refer to the nuget cache directory. The dependencies add up to ~25MB so this shouldn't be a big concern.

My main goal was to improve the docs of the query parameter methods, but I had to solve some build issues along the way so updated the docs on those steps as well.
