Chat and Messaging

One of our aspirational features is to have a chat/DM function in the app so users can connect to each other. However, unfiltered freedom of communication runs the risk of abuse. Lack of moderation in chats can lead to harassment, grooming, scams, phishing, abusive content, etc. In order to combat this, the issue could be mitigated by having a virtual assistant or having a speech filter that blocks certain words or phrases.

Representation

Since this app could serve as many people's introduction to Pohnpeian culture, we would need to take great care in not portraying it offensively. Therefore, any content, such as educational, informational, articles, and images should be reviewed prior to usage.
