Initial release of ABM3 for use in the 2025 Region Plan (RP). The primary change from ABM2+ is the transition from the Java-based CT-RAMP modeling platform to the open-source Python-based ActivitySim platform.

Following are some highlights of this release. Detailed release notes are available on the documentation website.

  • Base year updated from 2016 to 2022
  • Moved from a 3-zone system to a 2-zone system
  • Added new Commercial Vehicle Model (CVM) built on ActivitySim platform
  • Network editing changed from the ArcInfo-based TCOVED to ArcGIS Pro-based TNED
  • Model results written to Azure Data Lake
