@gregorycrane We don't currently have a case where the edition is a mixture of multiple print sources. In any downstream or custom editions, we have created new text IDs. In cases where the structure is going to substantially deviate from the print there should be a new edition created with header info that describes fully the source for the edition. This won't be hard.
Otherwise, the relationship to the Godley text has been severed. (More so if the old structure is no longer referenced in any way). Also, any structure that deviates from the print should be attributed accordingly (resp=Hude or resp=perseus).
Why wouldn't a future editor realign this with Godley at some point?
I think we should fix the errors but bump the structural changes to new text.

Unless I am misunderstanding this, I think this work should be bumped to tlg0016.tlg001.perseus-grc3 with appropriate changes made to the header and work file information in addition to creating a new catalog record.

If it doesn't either follow the format of the text described in the header, cts work file, and catalog record (or clearly delineate where it varies and why) then it shouldn't be linked to that ID any longer. You can and should create whatever hybrid text you want but the ID should be severed.

We need a way of describing this: it can be a Greg Crane version (mix of Godley/Hude/whatever) or a nascent Hude version (with more work to come) but there's no reason not to preserve the Godley as is (and of course correct errors).

If there are error corrections that should be in the Godley Greek, those should be made independent of the structural changes.
