Gottfried's generator

A number systems worksheet generator for KS3/GCSE Computer Science teachers

Do you spend far too much of your time writing worksheets? Do you find that worksheets are a great way to cement/assess your students' understanding of number systems? Are you bored of slowly and tediously writing endless variations of the same questions?

Gottfried's Generator - named for Gottfried Liebniz, the codifier of the modern binary number system - aims to remove some of the tedious work from you and place it where it belongs: in the cold and tireless hands of machines. Use this program to quickly and effectively create new worksheets on the topic of number systems.

Features:

  • Instantly create new worksheets to assist the teaching of number systems
  • Get accurate answer sheets that take the effort out of marking
  • Include/exclude a range of question types
  • Set maximum values to scaffold or extend students

Available question types:

  • Binary-denary conversion
  • Binary addition
  • Binary subtraction
  • Logic shifts

  • Hexadecimal Addition
  • Hexadecimal subtraction
