Additional thoughts: I'm not sure a dev branch is needed on ovos-releases now. The chat discussion said: "The dev branch will always reflect the dev branch of all submodules". However that seems to be better handled by an rc/$R branch. I see no need for a testing branch in ovos-releases either. At any time a rc/$R-rc$X tag can be created which can be a test point. This avoid bugs filed against "testing" which would be a moving target. I'm not sure a stable "branch" really make sense either; branches continually change. If it's stable it should be a tag. Even 'latest' should be a tag rather than a branch. Signed-off-by: David Greaves <[email protected]>

Up for discussion, but maybe we should not include deprecated packages, or maybe we should so they are in at least 1 release, I will leave a comment in all deprecated packages for reference

since archived repos came up, should we make an initial release for 0.0.7 ? it would be a home for all that archived code we deprecated since mycroft went under, it marks the time we were making stuff for mycroft, with the hopes of it being upstreamed this would be only for historical reasons, but would also work as a test to define the process, by doing it for 0.0.7 -> 0.0.8 we can all get the hang of how it works |
