This PR features a homepage dedicated to our academic-first strategy, specifically using content from our SC22 flier. Right now a key missing ingredient is the website "call to action." In the current homepage, each featured card has a button that takes the viewer to a place like "install" or "teach performance" etc. The SC22 flier does not have website buttons, and it isn't obvious how to assign buttons to the the new featured cards. Maybe we need to create more academic-first content that will fill the spaces inside the site, behind these new featured cards? I will say more in the comments below.

@ailiop @neboat @DorothyCurtis I have proposed an updated homepage to convey "academic-first" with much of the content from our SC22 flier. Could you please take a look? In particular, I'd like to add buttons to the updated cards on the homepage, and would like your feedback on that. Thank you.

Below are the four featured cards along with thoughts about linking each one to a page on the site. None of the cards naturally lends itself to a big "Install" button IMO. If we don't have an install button with one of the cards, then I will make sure there is a prominent install button somewhere else on the homepage.

Who cares about software performance

This card might get linked to the "kick-off blog post" that Charles is writing. Here's a draft. It will be published "soon."

Teach performance

This card might get linked to the teach performance page.

Application-programmer's reference

We might link this card to Convert a C++ Program (which needs a final review per #102), or (better IMO) we might create an OpenCilk programmer's guide per #211 and link to that.

System-researcher's reference

This card wants to be linked to a page that does not yet exist IMO -- a systems researcher's reference guide. Where do we point people to "make it easy to adapt OpenCilk for your own research"?
