Changes

  • Changed 256 kHz sample rate option to 250 kHz (see explanation below)
  • Tweaked sample rate constants to improve accuracy
  • Fixed certain older firmware versions failing to configure

256 kHz -> 250 kHz

Previous iterations of the AudioMoth Configuration App had a slight accuracy error wherein the 256 kHz sample rate was slightly higher than 256 kHz exactly. This was unnoticeable with shorter recordings, but resulted in incorrect file lengths with extremely long recordings.

The 1.4.4 firmware has been updated to both fix this bug and improve the overall accuracy of sample rates. In order to provide exact sample rate values, 250 kHz was chosen to replace 256 kHz as it is possible to get much closer to this value.
