Digests

A digest is a collection of activity over a duration, generated and delivered at a scheduled interval. At each interval, the digest checks the previous duration for activity, e.g. an hourly digest checks for activity within the last hour, a daily digest checks for activity within the last day, & c. If no activity exists within the duration, no digest is sent. Activity initiated by the user—e.g. User submitted request—is excluded. People know what they've done. The point of the digest is to tell them about stuff they would otherwise not be aware of.
