drmVR edited this page Oct 22, 2024 · 5 revisions

With the 22nd of October we are releasing the MDS 2.2.0. This release comprises updates in the Portal, Broker, Logging House and Connectors (on premise installation and CaaS). Check out the individual release notes for more detailed information.

Features introduced with the MDS 2.2.0

  • Data Catalogue integration: The Broker is fully integrated in the Portal which improves the usability by displaying the data offers within the Portal instead of opening them in a separate tab.
  • Data Offers on Request: Data Offers on Request are data offers that do not have a datasource attached. They are displayed in the Broker and can be differentiated from standard data offers by their status. MDS members interested in a Data Offer on Request can contact the corresponding provider via the provided e-mail address.
  • Transforming a Data Offer on Request into a standard data offer: The provider has the possibility to transform their Data Offer on Request into a standard data offer by adding the link to the data source.
  • Data Offer Creation Wizard: Besides the conventional steps to create a data offer (create asset, create policy, combine asset and policy) a wizard can be used which increases usability by combining these three steps into a single process.
  • Permalinks for data offers: Data offers can be easily shared within members of the MDS as every data offer is automatically assigned a permanent link.
  • Combining of restrictive policies: Data offers can be combined with a "time-restricted", "connector-restricted" or "free" policy. With the MDS 2.2.0 a combination of policies (e.g. combining a time-restricted policy with a connector restricted policy) is possible.
  • Logging: Logging has been extended and improved.

Fixes

  • Contract Termination: Contracts that were negotiated between two connectors can now be terminated by a button click.
  • Clarification of Negotiation-button: The meaning of the Negotiation-button was clarified so that it is more obvious that the user accepts the license, conditions for use and policy by clicking on this button.

Known Issues

  • Wrong values in contract agreements on consumer side: Opening a consuming contract in the EDC should reveal details of the corresponding asset. Due to a problem in the EDC core the asset details are not displayed (except the connector ID which is also displayed as the organization).
  • Accessing the Data Catalogue when not logged in: A user who is logged out from the Portal and tries to access the Data Catalogue is directed to the login page. After a successful log in users are directed to the start page of the Portal instead of the Data Catalogue.
