Here you will find everything you need to know about this strange dimension!
To enter this land, first, you need to craft yourself some Mulch Blocks.
Simply surround coarse dirt in sticks as seen here:
And if you were not already aware, this is how you craft Coarse Dirt: (Vanilla Recipe)
Then arrange mulch in a pattern shown here:
Now we must move to the nether! Go grab a blaze rod, obsidian, and some crying obsidian! Simply place Crying Obsidian atop of Obsidian and wait as it seeps into its holes and cracks it.
Now then, break the Cracked Obsidian to get some Obsidian Shards! These shards can not only be used as temporary weapons but also your gateway into The Garden! Craft a Charged Obsidian Shard with a blaze rod as shown here:
Now that you've got both your Charged Obsidian Shard and your portal all complete, its ready to open the rift. Simply right click on the centre of your mulch portal and watch as it opens right in front of your eyes. (I am aware of the green outline.)
Now that you're in, what is there to see? Well, there's lots of new Decoration and Building blocks. Plenty of beautiful liminal scenery.
Well, whats Point One all about? Here are some screenshots
Point One
Playpen
Pseudo Corkwood Plains
Corkwood Plains
Churchpark
Skinned Houseparts
Theres actually more than just decorational reasons to come here, as in here you can take a shovel and dig mulch by right clicking to get loot!
From this, you can get worms living inside the mulch! With these worms, you can eat them raw or use them as bait!
Using this Wormed Fishing rod, you can catch fish 4x faster! (Configurable)
There is also the Insulation Block! This block dampens redstone signals nearby! You could create some interesting contraptions with this! Each insulation color has its own range it searches, Insulation Padding being the least powerful at only 3 blocks. Each block dampens 4 of its power levels (Configurable)
Hold on a minute, whats that ceiling above me? Well why don't you hop up through and see for yourself!
Point Two
Gravity Falls (Not the TV Show)
Holic Isles
Ivory Shallows (My favorite :) )
Some of the features of this dimension are kinda lacking, but it certainly is important.
Ivory Marrow Blocks drop Ivory Marrow, akin to Bone Marrow, you can eat this as a good food source, as worms can give you hunger.
You can eat this.
If you've somehow trapped yourself in this place, don't fret! There are ways to get out! Either you can get a friend to rescue you, or in singleplayer, follow these steps!
- Dig for flint in the Churchpark Biome in Point One
- Craft a wooden pickaxe with the Dead Tree wood you get from the Playpen Biome
- Head to Point Two's Gravity Falls Biome and go near bedrock layer and mine for Playdirt Iron Ore.
- Craft a Flint and Steel using an Iron Ingot crafted from Iron Nuggets, and the Flint you grabbed earlier.
- Keep mining near bedrock and find a Cracked Obsidian Pool
- Light a fire atop the Cracked Obsidian and wait for it to break.
- After it breaks, the block will drop 0-2 Charged Obsidian Shards. Now you can escape!
