Noisy Project

This project is aimed at helping maintain a quiet environment during O Level practical exams for students. Students designed and developed it for their fellow students appearing for these crucial exams.

The system uses a microphone to detect sound levels in the examination room. If the sound levels exceed a certain threshold, indicating potential noise disturbance, it displays a red light as a visual cue for students to remain quiet. Conversely, when the sound levels are within the acceptable range, it shows a green light, signalling that the environment is appropriately quiet.

The primary purpose of this project is to serve as a gentle reminder for students to maintain silence during the practical examinations, thereby minimizing potential distractions and ensuring a conducive environment for everyone to concentrate and perform their best.

FAQ

Question 1: What is the purpose of this project?

Answer: This project is aimed at helping maintain a quiet environment during O Level practical exams for students. It uses a microphone to detect sound levels in the examination room and displays a red light when the sound levels exceed a certain threshold, reminding students to remain quiet.

Question 2: How does the project work?

Answer: The project uses a microphone to capture sound levels in real-time. It calculates the average sound level over a specified time period and compares it to a predefined threshold. If the average sound level exceeds the threshold, it triggers a visual cue to remind students to maintain silence.

Question 3: How can I contribute to this project?

Answer: Contributions to this project are always welcome! You can contribute by submitting bug reports, feature requests, or even by contributing code. Please refer to the contributing.md file for more information on how to get started.

Question 4: What is the code of conduct for this project?

Answer: Please refer to the project's code of conduct, which outlines the expectations and guidelines for contributing to this project. It ensures a respectful and collaborative environment for everyone involved.
