+Good sandwich cafe and look at how beautiful the cortado is. I got the **new roasted yam** sandwich made vegan. Very tasty. I would go go back to try other sandwiches. Like $17 with tax and tip (not including the coffee).

+This is a pickle workshop. You need to send an email to book and you get to sit and witness the pickle work being done. You get 15 of the most Berkeley-esque farm-to-table-organic-handmade **pickles in a rice bowl** and it's outstanding. I think every week is different, as they are constantly riffing with what they have available and what they remembered they were working on a few years ago. It's around $39 for the tasting and you can add on drinks and extras (the sesame goma dofu is worth it).

+They've got a vegan menu so ask for that. Highly recommend getting the **sichuan cabbage** and the **chiuchow olive green beans**, probably one of the best things I've had in the bay. We went with 4 people and had to reorder a few things because there's not thaaat many vegan options, all the ones they have are small. But it's very good.

+Little matcha cafe with a very serious looking Japanese chef in the back. The matcha was nice. But this is not a review site for matcha, that is many other people's game. And we are in the game of harsh vegan food reviews. They only have one vegan food, it is the **shitake mushroom & pickle onigiri**, you get a plate of 2 for $9 after tip and tax. Very seaweed-forward flavor. Very tasty. I will be back for a snack.
