The EMOD 2.22 release is the first public release we have made in over five years. During those five years, we have been busy adding numerous new features including:
- Full Linux (CentOS) support
- Vector Genetics with Gene Drive
- Parasite Genetics
- Insecticide Resistance
- Parasite Drug Resistance
- Targeting_Config – ability to target individuals based on their partner’s status and more
- Creating new relationships on demand
- More Custom Reports
Another thing that is different is that this version of EMOD only supports Malaria and HIV. It no longer supports diseases such as TB, TB/HIV, and Typhoid. This was done to allow development in EMOD to focus on Malaria and HIV and since IDM is developing new models of the other diseases.
Starting with Release 2.22, all new EMOD development for Malaria and HIV will take place in this repository. This will enable all users to see the current code and make contributions.
