ISTA GNSS/IMU Logger is an Android-based application capable of logging GNSS data in raw measurement format/ RINEX 3.03 format and Sensor data embedded inside the Android device. The Logger is based on GNSSLogger developed by Google Inc. and has been extended with numerous features such as RINEX and Sensor Logging etc.
Currently, the logger is capable of recording GNSS data from GPS/GALILEO/ BEIDOU for L1/L5/E1B/E1C/E5A (as supported by the device). The logger uses the most recent APIs to log GNSS measurements in the RINEX 3.03 format (Pseudorange, Carrier-Phase, Doppler, and Noise level).
For the Sensor logging, the application can log Accelerometer (m/s2), Gyroscope (rad/s) and Magnetometer (μT) data.
The user can individually log any data type or they can log GNSS and Sensor data with one single press of a button. The logged files can be sent via E-mail and are stored inside the "GNSS-IMU Logger" folder generated in the root directory of your Android device.
GNSS data is logged in GPS time scale and sensor data in the internal Android UNIX time that is synchronized to UTC via the mobile phone network to allow combined GNSS/IMU processing by the following software tools. GNSS time scale Format conversion tools for inertial data can be obtained from (https://www.unibw.de/lrt9/lrt-9.2/forschung/ista-logger). Currently, GPS time is 18 s ahead of UTC.
