Simple web UI to check the state of your Kafka logs.
- which topics with how many partitions?
- grep through message keys
- state of the consumer groups
- compiles against Kafka 0.9
- connects also to Kafka 0.10, due to Kafka's builtin upgrade support
- does not show all groups information available from a 0.10 broker.
On *nix systems, unzip the release zip and run kafka-watcher -h
. On
windows systems, change to the unzipped folder and run (untested):
java -cp 'libs;libs/*;libs/Jetty/*' de.pifpafpuf.kavi.KafkaViewerServer -h
There is no ivy/maven integration yet. For the brave, here is the list of libs used:
libs/
libs/slf4j-log4j12-1.7.6.jar
libs/kafka-clients-0.9.0.1.jar

The build.xml makes use of https://github.com/HaraldKi/hkAntLib . The HTML is rendered with htmlJgen.
(Terrible, I am not a designer at all. Nice CSS pull requests welcome!)
