swf files are cool.

Description

swf stands for ShockWave Flash. This file type is used by Adobe Flash Player. GoAnimate is heavily based on this format (pre-HTML5 transition), and almost everything is powered by swf files, including themes, The Video Maker, The Player, and The Character Creator.

This format is not to be confused with fla files, which are essentially the source project files of a swf.

Decompilation

There are 2 notable programs for swf decompilation, JPEXS Free SWF Decompiler, and Sothink SWF Decompiler. So far, any attempts with JPEXS to decompile or edit code has been a spectacular fail, as no stable decompilation with no errors could be made.

Sothink has also been tested, but so far crashes anytime it gets halfway done with the decompilation.
