On one hand it is meant as a portfolio to showcase my skillset to someone interested in working with me. But I will also share scripts, tools or even code snippets if I think they might be useful to others.

About me 🧔

I'm a child of the mid 80's, born and raised 🍼 in Vienna, Austria.

Besides my job as a senior fullstack (mostly backend) developer, I generally have a passion for writing great code. No matter if I'm building a useful tool 🔨 I or someone around me needs or if I'm just tinkering around - I simply love to code! 💖

With over 15 years of professional experience I have seen a lot and I am still learning 💡 new exciting stuff every day. I have a small server rack at home, which helps a lot with learning 📚 IT related stuff and hosting my own services.

Besides all of that I'm also quite interested in microcontrollers (ESP32, Arduino) and love to tinker around with that. I'm also into 3D printing and from time to time design my own stuff in a CAD software.

When I'm not at the keyboard ⌨️, I love to go hiking ⛰️ and do outdoor/wildlife photography 📸🐦 trips with my wonderful wife.

Professional career 🏠

Since my early days as a junior developer, I've got to be involved in a wide variety of different projects. From the getgo I've worked on pretty much everything - from simple tools, bigger business applications to frontend or backend frameworks.

The amount of different technologies I came in contact with, helped me further my overall understanding in this craft. Java, Visual Basic, C#, WPF or SQL are only a small subset of languages and technologies I came in contact since then. Although I'm comfortable with most of these technologies and constantly try to improve/learn new ones, my main focus is working on a large Java backend for an application server with desktop, mobile and web clients having all their business logic running server-side.

Today I still work for the same company through which i originally joined the software development industry over 15 years ago. Being part of the same company for this long and see it and it's framework flourish and grow is a huge success for me, which I'm also very proud of.
