Installing Fuji

This page contains common information about how to get Fuji up and running, as well as troubleshooting info.

Installation

Fuji does not require the original game's files to run - it is a standalone client. Your vanilla Celeste 64 installation and Fuji installation(s) should not be mixed up.

Minimum Requirements

Below are the minimum system requirements needed to get a satisfactory experience with no major stuttering.

Note

These are the lowest specs that Fuji was tested with - they are not necessarily representative of the actual lowest specs Fuji will run on. You're welcome to try, but don't expect anything amazing. Fuji is overall a lightweight piece of software, so expect it to run well on a wide variety of setups.

  • OS:
    • Windows: 10 or later, x64
    • Linux: Supported distros, x64 or ARM
    • MacOS: Monterey or later. x64 or arm Intel-based or Apple Silicon with Rosetta
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 @ 3.10GHz or equivalent (PassMark score >=3800)
  • Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4600
  • RAM: Leave about 200-500MB free RAM for Fuji. Requirements increase as more mods are enabled.
  • Disk space: Leave about 50MB free space minimum for Fuji. Leave about 500MB-1GB (or more) free for mods.

Troubleshooting

Q: I've installed Fuji but it won't run!

A: You most likely don't have the dotnet runtime installed. Follow the instructions according to your OS:

  • Windows: Get .NET 8.0 here. Install the files you downloaded, and try to launch Fuji again. When in doubt, restart your PC.
  • MacOS: Get .NET 8.0 here. Install the files you downloaded, and try to launch Fuji again. When in doubt, restart your device.
  • Linux:
    • Debian-based distros: Run the following command to get the dotnet runtime, then run Fuji again.
    sudo apt install -y dotnet8

todo: install instructions for other distros, here's a link to microsoft's docs for the time being
