Highlights

  • ESLint 8 Support 🎉
  • Merge configs into a single multi-config package.
  • Rewritten in TypeScript to provide strong typing for utilities.
  • Add typescript preset.
  • Most purely stylistic and formatting suggestions are now warnings.
  • Many rule adjustments, most of them relaxing previously stricter standards, or enabling new rules added to ESLint & plugins
  • New core plugin: @eslint-community/eslint-plugin-eslint-comments
