About The Pull Request
This PR changes the internal layout of medbay in Snowglobe Station. Between initial release and now, I've made a character that is a medbay main. At the time I think I said someone with medbay knowledge should probably redo it completely. I am god's strongest jester it turns out, and said person ended up being me.
Logic in the alterations:
The original snowglobe medbay was straight up me stealing blueshifts homework, badly. The TC was huge and empty, Cryo was as far as it could be from the lobby, chemlab setups spilled into the halls constantly, it simply does not stack up to the other departments. Instead the rooms have been altered so the immediate "loop" focuses on triage, and you dip into the back of medbay for storage/breaks/meetings. Additionally, Medbay has gained an office for doctors to keep their personal belongings and access records.
With the current layout the intended loop is: patient in lobby > stasis bed to diagnose > two patient rooms to convalesce OR two surgery centers for serious cases like a husking.
How This Contributes To The Nova Sector Roleplay Experience
Mechanically, medbay in snowglobe should be more pleasant and less thoughtless. Roleplaying wise, the addition of two patient rooms allow for 1 on 1 rp scenes with a patient and doctor, and the offices allow for non-medical medical roleplay. Additionally, the asylum allows for high risk containment roleplay. I've seen it happen once or twice, so it ought to exist. I think all these additions and alterations will combine to give snowglobes medbay it's own personality, instead of being a semi-functional imitation.
