Week of 14 Homework

Node ~ Express ~ Handlebars

Live Link

Overview

In this assignment, we created a burger logger with MySQL, Node, Express, Handlebars and a homemade ORM (yum!). We followed the MVC design pattern; used Node and MySQL to query and route data in our app, and Handlebars to generate your HTML.

  • Burgers Express! is a restaurant app that lets users input the names of burgers they'd like to eat.

  • Whenever a user submits a burger's name, your app will display the burger on the left side of the page -- waiting to be devoured.

  • Each burger in the waiting area also has a Devour it! button. When the user clicks it, the burger will move to the right side of the page.

  • Your app will store every burger in a database, whether devoured or not.
