We have created our own automations to both building the BTT CB1 packages (including the kernel), as well as updating and publishing a custom apt repository, so now everyone can enjoy the latest releases from BIGTREETECH, without having to reinstall/reimage their CB1/SD card.
NOTE: This is still in early development and considered experimental at this stage, so be prepared for broken releases and various unannounced changes along the way!
First you have to import the public key of the apt repository.
curl -fsSL https://didstopia.github.io/CB1-Kernel/gpg-pubkey.asc | sudo gpg --dearmor -o /usr/share/keyrings/cb1.didstopia.github.io.gpg
Now you can add the apt repository.
echo "deb [arch=arm64 signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/cb1.didstopia.github.io.gpg] https://didstopia.github.io/CB1-Kernel bullseye main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/cb1.didstopia.github.io.list > /dev/null
Finally you can refresh the apt repositories and install any packages or package updates you wish.
sudo apt update
sudo apt install <package>
sudo apt upgrade [package]
