Some random Frequently Asked Questions probably.

How much it did cost?

Nothing. This app is free, but supporting the app is appreciated.

Do I need internet connection?

In short, no. If you need to get beatmaps, you need internet to download it. Otherwise, all the gameplay mechanics are offline.

Do you put any analytics?

No. None at all. No tracking shit. No monetization shit. No ads, and stuff equivalent. That's why your support is encouraged.

What are the note speed equivalent in SIF?

  • 700 = Master
  • 800 = Expert
  • 1000 = Hard
  • 1300 = Medium
  • 1600 = Easy

Does it supports >60FPS? I have 90/120/144Hz monitor/phone.

Live Simulator: 2 is designed to support ANY refresh rate in mind, so yes, given your hardware have enough procesing power to reach fast update speed.

Does it support touchscreen in Desktop?

Yes, however touchscreen support in Linux may depends on distro, driver, luck, and current phase of the moon, so your mileage may vary.

How's the status of iOS release?

It was available for a while but it gets pulled due to technical reasons. It may available back on v4.0.0 release.

What LOVE version does Live Simulator: 2 uses?

Live Simulator: 2 requires LOVE 0.10.0 or later, although it can run in 11.2 and later version (hopefully with minor changes). All platforms, except Linux uses unofficial modified LOVE 11.3.

How to add custom units?

Remember that custom units are just decoration purpose. Here are the steps:

  1. Open https://card.lovelivesupport.com/

  2. Choose the card you want to download its icon

  3. Scroll down and you'll find the unit icon (without rarity frame).

  4. Save/download that unit icon. The size should be 128x128px PNG.

  5. Move it to Live Simulator: 2 unit_icon directory.

    • Windows: <game installation>/unit_icon. You may want to create the directory if it doesn't exist.
    • Android: Storage/Android/data/com.npdep.livesim2/files/save/DEPLS/unit_icon
    • For other platforms, see love.filesystem
  6. Open Live Simulator: 2, select change units, click the lane you want to change, then select your new icon.

  7. Once you changed the necessary lanes, click SAVE or ypu'll lose your changes.
