2.0.0
We're proud to announce our first major update since the initial release. Welcome version 2.0.0! π
As an increase in demand for very large real estate websites we decided to heavily focus our next update on performance, reliability and scalability. It may not be a feature-rich update this time, but wait for it... behind the scenes a lot has been changed!
We've rewritten the database of the plugin which keeps all of your properties. It's our first effort to slowly move away from Advanced Custom Fields as the underlaying database. It's a first step, but we can already see a major increase in performance when performing complex queries on a large number of properties (1000+).
Our plan towards the future is to become completely independent from Advanced Custom Fields, so you don't need any additional plugins in order for WP SweepBright to work.
We hope you and your customers will enjoy it!
Changelog
Database rewritten from the ground up
- The plugin has been rewritten to support large databases of properties, so that your website can scale at ease
- Reduced memory load on the server when publishing a property (reduces 504 time-outs)
- Overall improved stability & reliability
- Re-introduces the ability to filter properties multiple by multiple (sub)categories by using an array. See the docs for more info.
Other improvements & fixes:
- Fixed a couple of bugs when having Polylang Pro enabled (we've previously introduced support for multi-language with Polylang)
We've tested this update very intensively and there should be no breaking changes. If you do however stumble upon an issue due to this update, please let us know.
