Botting and open source
Trust of people who write bots is always suspect, especially if they want your money. As this bot is open source, I can not hide anything from you. I am not stealing your gems, I am not sending your information anywhere. Read the code if you don't believe me. ClAsHbOt's image search and OCR DLL is compiled code, but if you want, feel free to compile one yourself - the source code is there. I used Visual Studio Express 2010 to create this DLL.
I have reached out to other Clash of Clans botting communities and been turned away by most, some more harshly than others. My intent in reaching out is simply to collaborate, especially when it comes to specific algorithms for anti-detection, anti-ban, and human-like behavior. These are non-trivial topics. We could all help each other.
I have been welcomed into the MyBot.run community...great forums, and open to collaboration. Check them out: MyBot.run
Unfortunately, the paranoia is high. I personally would not trust communities that are insular and unclear as to their motivations. Ask yourself if they are doing this for you or them?
My position: I wrote this bot for myself, and for a few friends and family. Now I am making the whole thing open and transparent for anyone to use. I do this for fun, not money, not fame. Take that for what you will.
