simple-wallet-gen

Generate BIP44 and Metamask compatible Ethereum wallet into standard output, using only memory.

Installation

  1. Install Cargo as described at Cargo website
  2. Invoke cargo build

Generate new mnemonic

Metamask interoperability

The secretkey 64 letter hex value can be used to import wallet into Metamask, as described in the docs

To be able to generate compatible wallets from mnemonics generated via Metamask or Ledger browser extension legacy algorithm without external wallets, pass --legacy parameter.
