When using core-beta in dark mode (https://getbootstrap.com/docs/5.3/customize/color-modes/#dark-mode), the notifications page is unreadable.

I think the better solution for this is actually bg-body-tertiary which seems to mimic bg-light and bg-dark depending on the theme in use.
