Features Implemented:

  • Tessellation Based Grass Rendering
  • Filled in Descriptor Sets/Layouts when needed
  • Wind, Gravity, & Recovery Forces
  • Frustum, Distance, and Orientation Culling

Extra Credit:

  • Distance Based LOD Tessellation Levels

Feedback: This was a fun project that let me understand tessellation without getting too bogged down in the Vulkan specifics. It would be helpful if I could things to show up a bit earlier without having to write a lot of Vulkan first though? Maybe have some filling in the blanks to get the plane or plane texture to appear?
