Digital Object Identifiers (DOI)

temi edited this page Jul 5, 2021 · 5 revisions

DOIs are universally unique, permanent identifiers for digital content. See http://www.doi.org for more detail. DOIs can be accessed via a permanent URL in the form http://dx.doi.org/[doi].

In the ALA Profiles, DOIs are assigned to the point-in-time snapshot PDFs of profile pages. This allows them to be cited via a permanent and unique URL.

ALA Profiles DOIs are minted by the DataCite via ALA DOI system.
