Configuring and customising the portal

The following changes are made via the admin console to customise the default geonetwork install (when logged in as admin). All other settings are currently set to the default values.

Schemas

• Navigate to admin console -> metadata and templates
• Select iso19139.gemini23 and click "Load templates for selected standards" and then "Load samples for selected standards" if required.
• Repeat as desired for other standards

Settings

• Navigate to admin console -> settings and then select "Settings" in the left-hand list and change:
• Catalog description:

Logos

• Navigate to Admin console > Settings and choose Logo from the list on the left
• Click "Choose or drop images here" and upload https://github.com/AstunTechnology/os-custom-geonetwork/blob/main/images/logo.png
• Repeat for https://github.com/AstunTechnology/os-custom-geonetwork/blob/main/images/OS-favicon.jpg
• For the main OS logo, select the "use it for the node" icon (first on the left in the group of three)
• For the favicon, select "use it for the node favourite icon" icon (second on the left in the group of three)

Thesauri

• By default the following thesauri should be loaded when as part of the deployment:
  • INSPIRE service taxonomy: http://geonetwork-opensource.org/inspire-service-taxonomy
  • GEMET - INSPIRE themes: http://inspire.ec.europa.eu/theme
  • GEMET Concept thesaurus (versions 2.4 and 4.2.3): http://geonetwork-opensource.org/gemet
• To add new thesauri to the deployment, add them to the appropriate folder in https://github.com/AstunTechnology/os-custom-geonetwork/tree/main/thesauri/external/thesauri (eg if the type is Theme add them to the theme folder, otherwise create new folders for types from the code list
