The Stalefish paper release (update)
This is another refresh of the Mac release associated with the paper 'Comparing cortex-wide gene expression patterns between species in a common reference frame'. It fixes a bug with the freehand drawing feature, adds the ability to re-open 2D maps that were generated from a Stalefish project and also adds some ordering features (the ability to move brain slices forward/backward in the stack). Finally, there's the ability to mark out the minimum and maximum signal by eye on each frame with this information being stored into the Stalefish project file. These features were added during the revision of the paper.
Mac 'dmg' and Linux 'snap' packages are available here and you can also get the app from the snap store: https://snapcraft.io/stalefish (for (almost) any flavour of Linux).
Mac
Download Stalefish.dmg and install in the usual way. You may need to go to Apple -> System Preferences -> General and click 'open anyway' because we have not signed this app with an Apple Developer ID.
Linux
Visit https://snapcraft.io/stalefish and follow the installation instructions there.
