It's pretty hard to identify an object in a scene - so my technique is to toggle the visibility checkbox to see if an object is what I think it is. Any easy hack to associate an object in the list to one in the scene would be to quickly toggle the visibility attribute when the

interesting suggestion. i'm not sure how well this would work for others though, because this behaviour might be confusing. i'll keep this open and think about this when i rework the inspector...
I've been meaning to try implementing a Leap-Motion-Enabled Vector3 input, for tools like this. Could make for some interesting experimentation grounds. Here's the brain dump: leapmotion/leapjs-widgets#1
i haven't touched three-inspector for a long while but i think i previously wanted to add a couple more features. Yeah i think the snappable widget would be one of the good to have.
right now though, I'm concentrating on https://github.com/zz85/timeliner and when its improved I may get better ideas on integrating both.
(btw, do you work for leapmotion? i've been trying to get my hands on one but it seems like it doesn't ship to where I stay)
