Random placing cards

Description of problem:
When I am done with my set up and hit the "Save Layout" button, it refreshes the layout and everything (the cards) is random placed again.

Additional information:
Followed your Youtube tutorial step by step. Thank you very much for this amazing new feature for Lovelace! I know this is in a very early stage so I'm sorry if this issue is regarding something you've already have planned to change or did intentionally.

hmm Would you be able to give me a screen recording of the issue? Are they going back to their original positions? If you change one card. Does everything move?

If I hit "Save Layout" again right after picture 2 (without changing anything), it changes to this

If I save again (without changing) it stays like that.

Oh wow. That is very interesting. It's changing the position, width, and height of your cards... I will look into this and try to replicate

I think I've a similar issue with the drag&drop. I've placed my dashboard the way I liked it (only the left side). After that, I'm saving and 2 tiles fly to the right again. Is it because of the room there?

Stays weird that only those 2 popped out of the middle. Just wanted to share it ;) Thanks a lot for this feature, this will be game changing for HA. Making dashboards now is a struggle with all the stacks. Keep up the awesome work!

I can confirm the space is the issue, it likes for all the cards to be equally spaced and placed per row. My work around is to drag the size of the card to the far right (make it larger) where acceptable, and fill that area with blank space or add a blank card with no entities as a filler. I had to do this in original ha views as well to get things placed where i wanted them.

On a seperate note, I really like your neato d7 card , would you share where you came up with that. Maybe over on the forum or in an email [email protected] ? I use the built in card from ha and it's just kinda blah,lol . That Looks sharp!

Thanks for your awesome work! If this will be in official HA some time in the future, it will boost usability very much and will make HA much more user friendly.

It is indeed strange and I don't really understand how I can make it practical. I find (as mentioned above) that I have to enlarge the cards which means the area used ends up very large. If I get the layout as desired and then shrink the oversized cards again it shuffles the layout.

It's so close and I'm sure you'll find the solution! - will watch for the next drop but enjoy a Christmas break as a priority :-)

Hi, @zsarnett awesome work! It is so nice to be able to rearrange all cards the way I want and resize them excellent.
However, I am having the same issue as many others when. When clicking the button Save Layout everything shifts and even changing the size of the cards, not just the location.
Do you have any update on a fix for this issue? Thanks again for the excellent work.
