Update to current RRD version 1.7.x

Are there any plans to update this library to the current version of RRDtool (v1.7.2 since may 2019)?

Unfortunately I have no experience with interfacing Go to another language and wouldn't know where to start. :-(

I'm using it with v1.7.2 on a Mac without issues. go test does not show any issues and the functions I use are working as well. So I'm wondering on what is not working with 1.7.2?
