We have asked for ages for dark/night mode support in the official client. We've never gotten it. It would be neat and perhaps a reason for some to move to Wey if Wey were to have a dark/night mode. Maybe not provide a dark mode out of the box, but when thinking about implementing themes like the official client has got sidebar themes. Instead themes could be implemented for the entire client and not only the sidebar?
