I think KeyPass has the potential to be the best password manager out there, especially with its features like:

  • Complete Offline: No internet permission
  • Open Source: Code accessible to everyone
  • Encrypted Backup and Restore
  • Dark Mode Support
  • Material Design 3
  • Screenshot Blocked
  • Authenticate with device credentials (pin, pattern, biometrics)
  • Auto Backup
  • TOTP
  • Jetpack Compose

To make it even better, here are some features that would enhance the app:

  1. Layout Update: Add 4 buttons/layouts at the bottom:

    • Passwords: (This is the only one present now) – Instead of TOTP secret keys in the passwords list, a passkey secret key section would be better.
    • TOTP/2FA: (Currently integrated with passwords, but separating it would be more user-friendly)
    • Secure Notes
    • Card Info
  2. Improved Website URL Field: There should be an option to add multiple websites.

  3. Autofill Support: As many users have suggested, implementing autofill would remove the need to manually copy passwords from the app.

  4. UI Suggestion: Consider incorporating UI elements from Proton Pass, which I find to be the most user-friendly password manager. Their design is intuitive and enhances the overall user experience.

Tags are already implemented, which is great for quickly finding passwords.

With these features and UI enhancements, exporting to other managers like Google Chrome, KeePass, or BitWarden might not even be necessary. KeyPass could become a standalone solution for most users.

Thanks for considering these suggestions!

Cheers,
Raju Jha
