I am using the Boomtable plugin v1.4.1 with Grafana v8.3.4 and a Prometheus data source. So far I have not been able to find any way to sort the rows in the table, based on the first column, i.e. the column which is populated by the first string in the Grafana "Legend" field (separated by the delimiter specified in the Boomtable patterns). Since for example Prometheus cannot sort timeseries based on label values, such a functionality in Boomtable would be very useful. In my specific use case, I am trying to sort on the first column which is derived from a Prometheus label with numeric values. I would like to be able to sort the rows numerically, based on this column.
If anyone know of a way to achieve this in any other way (using native functionality of either Prometheus or Grafana), please let me know!
