My homebrew launcher gives me an error ' exception occured'

i used the 'https://3ds.guide' guide

so i followed all the steps where i had to install boot9strap and luma3ds. i pressed start to reboot and all of the sudden the 'fbi' app is black and the name is all questionmarks. i cannot open homebrew, it gives me an error that an exception occured.
I have came to the point where i copy pasted all the cia files and all the folders. Now the guide says that i have to update my device, but i'm scared because what if i did something wrong ?
Why does the FBI app redirect me to the Store app ? it asks me to delete the shortcut ?
Can someone tell me what is going on ?
