Consider switching to ni-media for sound input #4

Libsndfile is great, but there is another option: https://github.com/NativeInstruments/ni-media

This is a modern C++ media library based on the std::stream interface.

It natively supports MP3 on Mac & Windows (sadly not yet on Linux). If MP3 support would come to Linux, it would be a very good reason to switch.
