Describe the bug
The POT file does not include the translatable string in the JS files.

To Reproduce

Clone this repo and run nvm use & npm install & npm run build
The pot file doesn't include the translatable strings from the JS files.

Expected behavior
The compiled POT file should include all the strings intended to be translated.

Isolating the problem (mark completed items with an [x]):

I have deactivated other plugins and confirmed this bug occurs when only the extension is active.
I can reproduce this bug consistently using the steps above.
