Can't spawn the BVR or WVR variant but i can use the F15C and SU33 no problem

The only version the game let's me pilot is the AG version based on the free module. When trying to spawn the BVR or WVR Version, the game still offers to put it on Client or Player however once the mission starts the Pilot gets substituted by AI.

As mentioned in the Title i can fly the F15C and SU33 just fine so the game recognizes that i have those modules.

I'm running the Steam Version of DCS and i tried it with launcher enabled and disabled.

Any help is appreciated.

Same issue here, only have the F15C mod in addition to vanilla DCS. But BVR still gets AI pilot when I try to spawn.

Is there anyone that currently can spawn and fly a BVR JAS39 with version 1.8.5 and the latest update of DCS, what mods do you have in that case? Would help for troubleshooting.

found a post from SkateZilla on the DCS forum related to the FC3 update:

In order to restore FC3 Dependent mods that utilize the Old = x System,

You have to force load them on startup, In the \Mods\Aircraft\ Folders for:
A-10A
F-15C
MIG-29
Su-25A
Su-27
Su-33

There are entry.lua files
You will need to open these files, and add a line below the binaries block

Add:

load_immediately = true,

And save the LUA File.

This will tell DCS to load the Binaries at DCS Startup,

Allowing mods that used Old = x to run as they did before 2.9.6.

Was able to spawn into an A/A BVR (F15C dependent) and it seems to work.
Will admit that I haven't verified all bits and aspects, but at least I am able to fly the A/A BVR version now.
One thing that I noticed was that it seems to have dropped all my HOTAS bindings, so save them before applying the fix.
