There is definitely a connection, but neither project is being maintained, and it seems to me that we have over the years come to the conclusion that this isn't the kind of avenue of crowdsourcing we want to pursue.

IsItOpenData has been archived.

The (still quite active) OpenAccessButton teams' https://github.com/OAButton/odb and https://github.com/OAButton/odb-chromeaddon projects are archived, after apparently deciding to drop "data work" to focus on article paywall requests. Maybe if more research data was behind a paywall, they would think otherwise ..

In these circumstances, I'd say it would make sense for @wfyson to archive this repository or at least put in the README that it's no longer maintained - though, of course, we'd love to hear from anyone doing something like this again.

And, still thinking about this from time to time, I would not at all be against of the idea of looking back at this project together once, and imagining what we could have done differently! Warm wishes to all.
