in your featured example, you are saying:

Note that key authentication with SSH never requires a token

It would be great if one could control the login behavior through simple config options:

  • password only
  • key only
  • password + token
  • key + token
  • plus any (?) combination of above options

does this appear feasible?

Also looking for key+token.

Apparently possible, but carries a risk:
