Read Before Posting or Replying

GitHub Discussions are threaded, therefore it is important that you use the reply box when replying to another comment or answer. If you post your reply as a new comment or answer, the thread becomes disconnected when older replies are collapsed.

If you do post a reply as a comment or answer by mistake:

• You will first get a notice to fix it, in which case you copy the content to a reply box and delete the original comment.
• If the mistake is not corrected within a reasonable time frame, the comment will be deleted or manually moved.

This is to keep the discussions readable.
